The Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital, located within Rambam Health Care Campus (Rambam), is the only dedicated pediatric hospital in Northern Israel, providing advanced, comprehensive care for children from birth to age 18. Rambam is a 1,100-bed academic medical center serving more than 2.7 million residents and is the region’s sole tertiary referral hospital, providing comprehensive care across all medical specialties to patients referred from 12 district hospitals and regional defense forces.

Established in 1986 and affiliated with the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology’s Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital serves as a center of excellence in pediatric care, education, and research. As part of Rambam’s internationally recognized medical and research environment, its multidisciplinary teams collaborate globally to advance innovative treatments and ensure the highest standard of care for children across Northern Israel.

The Joan & Sanford Weil Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital provides specialized care for children and adolescents up to age 20 with cancer and blood disorders, including bone marrow transplantation. As the only division of its kind in Northern Israel, it diagnoses and treats over 120 new patients a year and achieves cure rates of approximately 80%, comparable to leading pediatric cancer centers in Europe and the United States. The Division delivers multidisciplinary care aligned with international protocols, including comprehensive psychological and supportive services for patients and families, as well as long-term follow-up for survivors. In parallel, its physician-scientists lead innovative research and clinical trials in collaboration with the Technion, advancing new treatments and improving outcomes for children in Israel and beyond.
